About
Nourish Street Inc.

The local family feeding the homeless

Beau Haywood, his partner Jenny Ignacio, and Beau’s sons Kane, Zion, and Isaac were the founding force behind Nourish Street Inc.—a grassroots response to the ongoing failure of government systems to support people experiencing homelessness.

What began as a self-funded, family-led effort has since grown into a registered charity with a growing team of dedicated volunteers. Together, they provide hot meals, groceries, tents, and essential supplies to over 100 people, five days a week across Moreton Bay and Pine Rivers.

Beau, a former mechanical fitter and welder, has lived experience of homelessness and addiction. After being unable to work for more than four years following carpal tunnel surgery, and now over 18 months clean after a 25-year meth addiction, he uses his experience to connect with others doing it tough.

Nourish Street Inc. remains deeply rooted in family and community. Jenny—who is often found helping pack the meals for the night—is the quiet engine of the operation, while Beau continue to be the lead in delivering help and hope on the streets.

Our Mission

At Nourish Street Inc., our mission is to provide nutritious meals, care packages, and sleeping gear to people experiencing homelessness in the Moreton Bay and Pine Rivers communities- while raising awareness and advocating for long-term solutions to end homelessness.

Operating five days a week, we deliver hot meals, essential supplies, and connection to those doing it tough. Grounded in lived experience and powered by family, volunteers, and local support, we strive to foster dignity, resilience, and hope.

We actively collaborate with other frontline organisations—like Northwest Community Group Inc.—to amplify impact, share resources, and ensure people in crisis can access vital services and support.

With help from generous donors, local businesses, and our growing volunteer base, we are building a movement for compassion and change - one meal, one conversation, and one life at a time.

Our Long Term Goals

Nourish Street Inc is committed to achieving the following in the next 2 to 3 years :

01

Sourcing land with dongas, a building or old hotel to provide emergency accommodation.

02

A hub where we can offer counselling, mental health services, medical checks, housing and employment services all in the one place.

03

Expanding to more remote areas by training other volunteers to replicate what Nourish Street Inc is achieving in North Brisbane.
